History of Efusjon

Efusjon is a new Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company founded by Robert Towles, R.S. Edwards, Marc Sharpe, and Kenny Gilmore. The company offers healthy Energy drinks sold through an organisation of independent sales representatives. They made a big splash recently when they made a move into Facebook and other social media. However, it is too soon to tell how long they will enjoy their current rate of growth. On the other hand, their training still recommends a some-what outdated model of contacting friends and family. While this remains the most easily taught approach, the Distributors earn as much as 4.5% in commission on sales they or their team-mates refer. This seems unusually low compared to other Network Marketing organisations. However, their main attraction seems to be their compensation plan which is called Community Overlap. A matrix system is used to fill out with new distributors who join at $120 each. While Efusjon home business owners are not compensated for enrolling new prospects, they earn residual commissions on monthly purchases made by EVERYONE in their matrix. Whether they have been enrolled by them or their other members. This may explain their unusually low compensation. However, in our experience, these small commissions are rarely enough to recover advertising costs if distributors attempt to use paid marketing methods.

Efusjon Products

Efusjon has one product, an energy drink based on the ever-popular acai berry. Efusjon Flavours:
  • Raw

    Acai Berry Raw, rich in antioxidants and helps fight fatigue, depression, and lack of concentration
  • Edge

    Acai Berry, caffeine. This is supposed to be an alternative to commercial energy drinks like RedBull and V.
  • Breeze

  • Dawn

Efusjon's Compensation Plan

Efjusjon uses a matrix-style compensation plan and its distributors are paid commissions using "Community Overlap". Unlike many other network marketing companies that pay out commissions on NEW sign-ups (which cost the customer $30, $120, and $150 depending on membership level), Efusjon does NOT compensate for new sign-ups. Commissions are paid 15 levels deep. 4.25% paid on products purchased by your personal enrollments or downline of your enrollments. 1.25% paid out on the downline placed into the "community overlap" by members of your upline.

Our Verdict

We find the acai berry/mangostene craze to be over-used in Network Marketing. With a single product, Efusjon is keeping it real simple and this may contribute to their future success or failure because of this. They are singularly focused on energy drink, however, the lack of choice positions them poorly against their competition. Their compensation plan pays only small commissions but their qualification for commissions is much less restrictive than other competitors. The best part about it is that they compensate members both on their own sales and the referrals of others in their downline as well as their upline. We found most of their marketing to be lacking in sellability. Their main promo piece highlights a problem with other commercial energy drinks but fails to immediately connect how their Efusjon drinks provide a solution. Distributors who want to build a real home business with an endless flow of prospects will have a hard time finding them in their family and friends. And many of those who tried to switch to social media are using much of the same methods. If the MARKETING company themselves don't know how to market their own products, then either the distributor needs to learn proper advertising and sales skills or find another company.
