XanGo Reviews

Xango's Mangosteen juice claims to contain Xanthones that supposedly is anti-inflammatory," "anti-microbial," "anti-fungal," "anti-viral," "anti-cancer," "anti-ulcer," "anti-hepatotoxic," "anti-rhino viral," and "anti-allergic" . However, in 2007 the Mayo Clinic stated that although the Xanthones showed that it indeed had anti-inflammatory activity there was no concrete evidence that demonstrated that effect on humans. In addition, in 2006 the FDA issued a warning letter to Xango's advertising XanGo juice as a drug, and with that violating the Federal Food, Drug and cosmetic Act by claiming that it could treat and/or cure diseases. In addition to those claims the Mayo Clinic said in 2005 that, "there are no published clinical trials showing evidence that either the fruit or its juice - marketed under the name XanGo juice - is an effective treatment for arthritis, cancer or any other disorder in humans”. In 2008, a medical case reported a patient with critical Acidosis (acidity of the urine) which was initiated by a year of daily use of the Mangosteen juice. Finally, an opposing MLM beverage company Tahitian Noni International (TNI) sued XanGo in 2003 alleging that XanGo stole TNI's idea for a Mangosteen-based supplement.
